Effect of different coronary artery revascularization procedures on cognition: A systematic review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Coronary revascularization interventions have been associated with post-intervention cognitive decline. Hence, this systematic review aims to compare the long-term effects of different coronary on cognition. The Cochrane Library and MEDLINE databases were searched for articles published between January 2009 2023. Articles clinical trials cohort studies that compared at least two a minimum three months follow up included evaluate consequences intervention techniques Each selected study was evaluated using revised tool assess risk bias in randomized (RoB 2), Risk Bias In Non-Randomized Studies - Interventions(ROBINS-1) used evaluating non-randomized studies. Five eligible studies, four comparisons, included. Out these RCTs A participants gone through procedures; on-pump off-pump artery bypass grafting (CABG), Percutaneous (PCI conventional cardiopulmonary (CCPB), miniaturized (MCPB) endoscopic (Endo-CABG). These comparisons showed cognition; however, there is no solid evidence correlations them. Thus, results suggest should be greater focus comparing reasonable follow-up duration set avoid influence confounders. There also need determine effect decline while reducing interference by other variables.

Introduction: Multiple coronary artery aneurysm is a rare anomaly which could be congenital or acquired. Its complications including sudden cardiac death, clot and distal emboli, rupture and bleeding or fistula. Decision about its management depends on aneurysm conditions and the Patient's clinical situation Case Report: A 55 years old patient with unstable angina and multiple coronary ar...
متن کاملThe use of reperfusion and revascularization procedures in acute coronary syndrome in Portugal: a systematic review.
INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES Reperfusion and revascularization therapies play an important role in the management of coronary heart disease and have contributed to decreases in case fatality rates. We aimed to describe the use of these therapies for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients over time in Portugal. METHODS PubMed was searched in July 2012. The proportion of patient...
متن کاملHybrid coronary revascularization versus coronary artery bypass grafting for multivessel coronary artery disease: systematic review and meta-analysis
BACKGROUND The concept of hybrid coronary revascularization (HCR) combines the left internal mammary artery (LIMA)-left anterior descending (LAD) graft and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) to non-LAD vessels. Multiple comparative studies have evaluated the safety and feasibility of HCR and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for multivessel coronary artery disease (MCAD). However, th...
متن کاملLongitudinal Effect of Stroke on Cognition: A Systematic Review
BACKGROUND Stroke is associated with an increased risk of dementia; however, the impact of stroke on cognition has been found to be variable, such that stroke survivors can show decline, remain stable, or revert to baseline cognitive functioning. Knowing the natural history of cognitive impairment after stroke is important for intervention. The aim of this systematic review is to investigate th...
متن کاملA systematic review on robotic coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
BACKGROUND Robotic-assisted coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) has been performed over the past decade. Despite encouraging results from selected centres, there is a paucity of robust clinical data to establish its clinical safety and efficacy. The present systematic review aimed to identify all relevant clinical data on robotic CABG. The primary endpoint was perioperative mortality, a...
